The Orient is a one-of-a kind luxury hotel, a unique architectural blend of old and new. It is situated on the edge of the German Colony, which was established by German Templers in the 19th Century and is now a trendy residential neighborhood of restaurants, shops, and cafes. The plaza at the entrance to the modern building is flanked by two original structures that once served as Templer schools. The hotel’s “Heritage Building” rooms are in these exquisitely restored structures. A short walk from the Orient is the First Station, once the terminus of the Jaffa-Jerusalem railway line and now a bustling entertainment venue. Also nearby is the iconic windmill of Yemin Moshe, the first Jewish neighborhood established outside the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City.
