There's really no reason to look anywhere else! Dealing with Dekel Tours was a pleasure from beginning to end. David organized an unbelievable family tour for 6 of us to spend 7 days in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. We are a family of 6 (age ranging from 16 to 55.) Our tour guide for the majority of the trip was Beni, and he too was fantastic. We were lead on an unforgettable journey that included scaling Masada, floating in the Dead sea, visiting the 4 ancient quarters of Jerusalem, digging in a cave, touring the Holocaust Museum, biking through Tel Aviv, eating hummus and falafel in the Carmel Market,

Incredible Israel experience Wow. it is hard to find the words to describe our trip to Israel, and the role that Dekel played. I had spent two months in Israel in 1994 on the High School in Israel program, and it was life changing for me. I wanted to share Israel with my children (aged 6 and 12), and contacted Dekel to help us. Marc was amazing. We spoke at length, and based of our conversations, he put together an itinerary that was the perfect balance of fun, educational, adventurous, and meaningful. The hotels were great, the airport service was extraordinary, and our guide, Muriel Sassoon was incomparable. I highly recommend Dekel. They are the best.

Wonderful 2 weeks in Israel We are wrapping a wonderful two week visit to Israel with a 1 day side trip to Petra Jordan. I have always wanted to go and my husband suggested it as a way for us to celebrate our 30th anniversary. From the very beginning of our contact, LeeAnn listened carefully to what was important to us for this trip and planned a perfect itinerary. From our arrival in Israel, throughout our trip everything went seamlessly. and she stayed in touch throughout our journey. Our tour guide, Yonatan was terrific. We have traveled to many places and have had guides in several of them and we count him as the best of the best. His personal knowledge of the country combined with his shared insights from his own travels really added a dimension to how we experienced each site. He was thoughtful, interesting, funny and considerate. I highly recommend Dekel for travel in Israel and also Yonatan as a guide. I am already thinking about when we can return.

Highly recommend Dekel Tours and Yonatan/Jonathan as a tour guide! There were several favorite experiences during our week touring Israel with Yonatan/Jonathan as our tour guide! His explanations and stories were wonderful and his use of visual aids enhanced the history stories.

Outstanding Tour Service My wife and I recently returned from a 17-day vacation in Israel and Jordan. We used Dekel to arrange private tours and other services for a portion of our trip including a 4-day, 3-night private tour of the northern district, a day tour of the Old City in Jerusalem, and a 3-day, 2-night tour in Jordan. Dekel also arranged transportation from/to the airport and provided "helpers" for the Israel/Jordan border crossing. I researched and booked the Israel accommodations myself and Dekel handled reservations for our two nights in Jordan.

Our experience with Dekel and our agent, Mark Coleman, was outstanding: Each of our three guides were very knowledgeable, entertaining, and a pleasure to spend time with. The itinerary was great. The extra services (especially the border crossing assistance) were a big help

In addition, Dekel/Mark were very flexible and accommodating, especially given the volatile COVID-19 situation. Planning the vacation felt like a true partnership, which I really appreciated.

Life Changing Experience, Unforgettable Memories My husband and I went on a 12 day private tour in May 2022, it was our first visit to Israel. We had the most unbelievable experience and are still completely overwhelmed by how amazing it was. LeeAnn Langer planned our trip and we had the incomparable Alon as our guide. We had a wonderful consultation and the trip was tailored perfectly to our interests. Our hotels were incredible, our itinerary was a beautiful mix of adventure, relaxation, inspiration, cultural education, incredible food, natural beauty, fun, and every little detail down to guiding us through the airport upon arrival was handled. If you want to go to Israel and just ENJOY, I cannot recommend touring through Dekel enough. We were so sad to come home!

Our guide Alon was a true highlight of our experience. He was so knowledgeable, fun, energetic, and just a joy to be with. When you spend 10 days straight with someone you’ve just met, it’s really saying something that you MISS them when you leave! He made our trip truly special.

It should be mentioned this trip was originally planned for Dec 2021 but due to COVID, Israel closed the borders a week before our trip. Dekel handled everything and our rescheduled trip was no problem at all. I was so grateful for their professional responsiveness during the crazy travel issues that have come up this year!

We truly feel like this was the trip of a lifetime and we can’t even imagine trying to top it. We will never forget our magical time in Israel! Thank you LeeAnn, Alon & Dekel!

Exploring Israel with Dekel Tours We recently visited Israel after a tour through Egypt and Jordan. The tour company for the first part of our journey did not offer itineraries in Israel but the owner of the firm recommended we use Dekel Tours in Tel Aviv. We had such a good experience with the Egypt/Jordan agency that we researched Dekel and decided to explore an eight- day visit to Isreal with them. We were not disappointed.Our initial contact was Mark Coleman and he promptly responded to an email by setting up a phone interview to develop a tour plan based on our interests. We have strong interests in history, archeology, geography, art, food and culture—Mark responded to our extensive list of sites with a customized itinerary that made the best use of our eight days. He also met us at the airport and provided water bottles, background information and hats.The accommodations that we chose from a list Dekel provided in Jerusalem, Tiberias and Tel Aviv were all excellent, offering large breakfasts and very convenient to the sites that we explored. Mark also set us up at the King David Hotel for a few nights where one of our sets of great grandparents had stayed in the 1930’s. It was a wonderful experience.Our guide was central to the high quality of the adventure that we had in Israel. Ran Tzabar holds a degree in history/archeology as well as an MA in tour industry management. He was everything we expect of a top guide—friendly, attentive, always on time and steeped in the history of the areas that we visited. From Jerusalem to Masada, Ein Gedi and Qumran to Bethlehem, Jericho, Tiberius, Capernaum, Nazareth, Megiddo and Caesarea, Ran provided great insight and background to the sites we were exploring. A case in point, when we were touring Old Town Jerusalem Ran checked with a security guard, he knew at the Temple Mount and learned that it would be open for one hour for tourists to visit. He arranged to have us at the entrance later that day at the right time and we got to enjoy an experience that probably would not have been possible otherwise.If you’re looking for a well- organized tour, great individualized guide and tour coordinator, fine accommodations and food—all in a part of the world with amazing histories—Dekel Tours deserves a close look.

Private Tour with DEKEL tours Just came back from a 13 day trip to Israel. Mark at DEKEL Tours helped us plan a 7 day private tour. He was very attentive to our wants and needs and kept in touch with us throughout the full year of planning. They did everything from book our hotels to our activities. Israel's Best Tour Company Dekel Tours goes the extra mile from the moment you contact them. I wanted a customized tour of Israel not a tourist cookie cutter tour and Dekel listened to what I envisioned and exceeded my expectations. My main contact David Gross was thorough and quick to answer any questions I had (believe me I had a lot of them). Spectacular Visit to Israel We had an absolutely wonderful 12 days in Israel, thanks in huge part to Dekel Tours and our phenomenal guide Sharon Pelleg. Tamar at Dekel helped us plan a terrific trip that met all of our needs and wants. Leading up to the trip, Tamar had heard some feedback from other clients about the lack of customer service in one of the hotels we were scheduled to stay in. Based on this, she worked to find us another place to stay that would meet our budget and our needs. During the trip, Tamar was in regular communication with Sharon to make any necessary adjustments in our itinerary due to traffic or unforeseen changes. From our point of view, all arrangements functioned like a well-oiled machine but really I know that Tamar and Sharon were the ones that were communicating with vendors to make sure all was perfect! Our favorite activities were enjoying lunch cooked by and talking to with a Druze family in Golan Heights, hiking and enjoying the waterfalls of Ein Gedi and especially, hiking up to Masada at sunrise. And now on to Sharon, our spectacular guide. Sharon was with our family for over half of our trip (the rest of the time we toured on our own). Sharon was energetic, creative, insightful, patient, honest, and so much more than we could have hoped for. She worked to adapt her history lessons to our teenagers' interest levels, listened to our teenage son when he wanted to talk with someone about video games, brought us to "off the beaten path" sites, started conversations with a variety of Israelis that we came across so that we could meet individuals from so many different walks of life, shared her own views with us about life as an Israeli woman, and listened to our views as Jewish Americans. By the end of our trip, our teenage children were referring to our guide as "Aunt Sharon". Sharon will very much be a part of our most special memories of a spectacular trip to Israel. We truly cannot recommend enough both Dekel AND especially Sharon Pelleg.
