Incredible Israel experience Wow. it is hard to find the words to describe our trip to Israel, and the role that Dekel played. I had spent two months in Israel in 1994 on the High School in Israel program, and it was life changing for me. I wanted to share Israel with my children (aged 6 and 12), and contacted Dekel to help us. Marc was amazing. We spoke at length, and based of our conversations, he put together an itinerary that was the perfect balance of fun, educational, adventurous, and meaningful. The hotels were great, the airport service was extraordinary, and our guide, Muriel Sassoon was incomparable. I highly recommend Dekel. They are the best.

Wonderful, Attentive Tour Operator LeeAnn at Dekel worked with our extended family for a long time to schedule a (long awaited) family trip to Israel. LeeAnn and the Dekel team were incredibly knowledgeable and responsive, both prior to the trip and on WhatsApp while we were in Israel. They made everything from the airport transfers to the well selected tours/sites go smoothly. We also really appreciated the personal touch of LeeAnn meeting us at the hotel the morning of our first day of touring. We could not have had a better experience with Dekel and the guide and driver they set us up with (big props to Beny Shlevich, amazing guide).Two bonus points worth noting as an indication of the planning and customer service from Dekel:A) One morning, we were up north and came down to find out our bus had a flat tire. Somehow, the Dekel team had an alternate bus to us promptly so that we could make our first tour destination without delay while the original bus was being fixed. Magic!B) A few days after we came home, we got an unexplained charge from one of the hotels. We WhatsApp'd LeeAnn and she chased it down in-country and resolved it for us ASAP (even though this is still in Dekel's busy season and they are crazy busy).Thanks LeeAnn and Dekel for the trip of a lifetime.

Wonderful 2 weeks in Israel We are wrapping a wonderful two week visit to Israel with a 1 day side trip to Petra Jordan. I have always wanted to go and my husband suggested it as a way for us to celebrate our 30th anniversary. From the very beginning of our contact, LeeAnn listened carefully to what was important to us for this trip and planned a perfect itinerary. From our arrival in Israel, throughout our trip everything went seamlessly. and she stayed in touch throughout our journey. Our tour guide, Yonatan was terrific. We have traveled to many places and have had guides in several of them and we count him as the best of the best. His personal knowledge of the country combined with his shared insights from his own travels really added a dimension to how we experienced each site. He was thoughtful, interesting, funny and considerate. I highly recommend Dekel for travel in Israel and also Yonatan as a guide. I am already thinking about when we can return.

Private Tour with DEKEL tours Just came back from a 13 day trip to Israel. Mark at DEKEL Tours helped us plan a 7 day private tour. He was very attentive to our wants and needs and kept in touch with us throughout the full year of planning. They did everything from book our hotels to our activities. Great experience, great service Our group of 3 couples had a great tour of Israel and Jordan arranged by Mark Coleman and the team at Dekel Tours. For most of us, this was our first trip to Israel. We had several planning meetings and emails so our experience could be tailored to our desires. Mark was available to help us throughout our trip to answer logistical questions and work with us on some minor changes in our travel schedule, to help make sure we were where we needed to be to make connections. Israel at its best compliments of Dekel Tours! Without a doubt, this will rank #2 of all time for our (my wife and I) vacation travels. Our honeymoon has to always remain #1. Dekel provided excellent service from assisting with the development of our design of what we could see in the time we were in Israel to literally the moment we got off our plane where we were met with someone who effortlessly guided us through customs, to when we said goodbye to our outstanding guide, Yehuda. Everything that we wanted to see we were able to have quality time doing it. We even had a few last minute changes we requested and they were fulfilled without any complications. Our guide was the best we have had, including professional guides in Egypt, Thailand, Greece, Italy to name just a few. I highly recommend considering Dekel for anyone traveling to Israel.

A bat mitzvah gift! Dekel tours planned a perfect tour for my husband and I to show our granddaughter how much we love Israel. Every detail was attended to with perfection so we could just relax and enjoy!

Exploring Israel with Dekel Tours We recently visited Israel after a tour through Egypt and Jordan. The tour company for the first part of our journey did not offer itineraries in Israel but the owner of the firm recommended we use Dekel Tours in Tel Aviv. We had such a good experience with the Egypt/Jordan agency that we researched Dekel and decided to explore an eight- day visit to Isreal with them. We were not disappointed.Our initial contact was Mark Coleman and he promptly responded to an email by setting up a phone interview to develop a tour plan based on our interests. We have strong interests in history, archeology, geography, art, food and culture—Mark responded to our extensive list of sites with a customized itinerary that made the best use of our eight days. He also met us at the airport and provided water bottles, background information and hats.The accommodations that we chose from a list Dekel provided in Jerusalem, Tiberias and Tel Aviv were all excellent, offering large breakfasts and very convenient to the sites that we explored. Mark also set us up at the King David Hotel for a few nights where one of our sets of great grandparents had stayed in the 1930’s. It was a wonderful experience.Our guide was central to the high quality of the adventure that we had in Israel. Ran Tzabar holds a degree in history/archeology as well as an MA in tour industry management. He was everything we expect of a top guide—friendly, attentive, always on time and steeped in the history of the areas that we visited. From Jerusalem to Masada, Ein Gedi and Qumran to Bethlehem, Jericho, Tiberius, Capernaum, Nazareth, Megiddo and Caesarea, Ran provided great insight and background to the sites we were exploring. A case in point, when we were touring Old Town Jerusalem Ran checked with a security guard, he knew at the Temple Mount and learned that it would be open for one hour for tourists to visit. He arranged to have us at the entrance later that day at the right time and we got to enjoy an experience that probably would not have been possible otherwise.If you’re looking for a well- organized tour, great individualized guide and tour coordinator, fine accommodations and food—all in a part of the world with amazing histories—Dekel Tours deserves a close look.

Trip of a lifetime - Thank You Dekel We had a fantastic experience with Dekel on our Israeli vacation. From the moment we got off the plane we were treated like VIP's. Our primary contact, Mark Coleman from Dekel, worked closely with us to ensure that our itinerary matched what we were hoping to do and showed off the best of both Israel and Jordan in the time that we had. What we appreciated was that, the trip was planned in such a way that we got to do so much, experience new places and still didn't feel frantic or over-scheduled. Given this was our first family trip to the mid-east we were uncertain as to process and documentation for crossing the border between Israel and Jordan, but Dekel took care of every and made it seamless for us.
